Phuck off Phorm!

Deeply worrying news about certain ISPs signing up to an advertising system that works by in effect spying on every site you visit and everything you write on the web that isn't encrypted. Political Penguin, Spyblog and the Grauniad have more, although the comments are more interesting on the latter. For once I'm relieved to be a Tiscali customer.

Very worrying. For more detail see
http://www.badphorm.co.uk/ and http://www.theregister.co.uk/. The Guardian article seemed to me surprisingly laid back considering the potential scale of the loss of privacy.

Virgin 1, BT and Talk Talk. All major names. All have reputations for crap service/support. So to compensate for that, they, erm, spam the crap out of their customers. Lovely!
